Mine is the yoga of trust
As
I
Watch
You
Open
Instinctive
To
The dark animal knowing
Emerging
Passionate
&
Clear
From the open rose
Of
Your
Body
~
This is your
Life
&
I trust your life
As
I
Yield
In
My
Turn
To
Earths
Dark
Unfolding
Fertile
Generous
Free

This poem is written in a time of ‘moon’: during a time of opening to the mysteries of the inner feminine. It is influenced by Hexagram 2 of the I Ching: ‘Field/Yielding’. Stephen Karcher, describes the elements of Field/Yielding as: ‘Earth Altar; nourish, provide for, gentle, receptive, welcoming; gives all things form; the Dark Animal Goddess and her divinatory tradition; the ‘flow’; the female sexual organ; Gate of Change and a primal seed.’1) Field/Yielding then is the feminine power, potentially present in both women & men. Elements that speak personally to me in Karcher’s commentary include: ‘Be fertile & tireless’; ‘cherish each thing so it’s essential quality shines through’; ‘through yielding sincerely to each new thing you will acquire a new set of rules’; ‘accept hidden processes & energies’; ‘the situation is full of hidden potentialities’; ‘there is nothing to praise or blame for what you want is already there;’ ‘persist and work through inner inspiration’.
