A skinny opening two thousand years ago
A skinny opening two thousand years ago
Some think that God does everything
With a wink of a starry eye
Incarnation’s much more difficult
Though few do wonder why
An opening must pierce the smog
A cup must leave the shelf
The human mind must play its part
And step beyond itself
It was in the town of Bethlehem
That Mary pushed in pain
Her waters broke, awakening hope
In the dark of Herod’s reign
The opening was feminine
So courageous, strong and true
That God did weep
At her courage so deep
As he rode the passage through

A skinny opening:’ It was almost impossible for God to find an opening to incarnate on earth 2000 years ago. In the Red Scriptures, God does not incarnate (become embodied in human form) once only as Yeshua. God is forever seeking ‘Marys’ (female or male) to incarnate through.
‘Herod:’ reigned as King at the time of Yeshua’s birth. King Herod was a tyrant and mass killer. Out of self-interest and fear, tyrants always attempt to destroy incarnations. That’s exactly what King Herod did. See Matthew’s Gospel 2:1-18
