Haramai – Haramai
Welcome
To
The
Land
Of
Red
To the heart zone
To
The
Rebuild
To
The
Guild
Of
The
Sure
Arising

Up
And
Start
Again
To
The
Plains
To
The
Hills
To
The
Harbour
To
The
Peninsular
To the new horizon
To the river that runs through the heart of it all
~
May your soul drink laughter
May your words stand tall
May joy become your partner
Your
Steps
Be
The
Belle
Of
The

A welcome & blessing to a friend. My friend was returning to Canterbury to offer her time, energy, & gifting in service, as the people of Christchurch & the wider Canterbury district looked to rebuild after the devastating earthquakes. In the poem the colour red symbolises passion, the feminine, the soul, the libido, the life force, the heart. Red also has a special significance to the people of Canterbury as red is the primary symbolic colour of the province. Its sports teams often wear a combination of red & black.
