Song 7
Song 7
The yoga of your death
Destroys
Me
That’s why I must love it
Like
A
Friend
It was in the simple service of bringing you home
Me
&
My
Flood of tears
By
The
Window seat
You
Still
&
Attentive
In
The
Cargo Bay
Beauty
First
Sang
As the aircraft climbed high over Wellington Harbour
Banked
Firm
Toward
Harewood Road
As
The sun
Set
Incandescent
Over Aotearoa – New Zealand
Then
&
Then
Alone
I was born
16/5/12
My Birthday; Written out of the experience of bringing my mother home to Harewood Rd, ChCh after her death; 31/5/11, Hutt Hospital.
I was fulfilling my promise to bring mum back to her beloved Harewood Rd home. The setting sun set the landscape alive with an incandescent beauty. I felt the abiding presence of the Self; was overwhelmed by an experience of wondrous beauty; felt a gift was being imparted; felt deeply blessed. Dedicated to my beautiful mother.
