The Earth is an experience of what some people still call the Christ
The Earth is an experience of what some people still call the Christ
The Christ she roars, she’s lions deep
Upon the hills, she’s grazing sheep
Upheld by air, she hangs on high
Into the sea, she twists and dives
Within the forest, she branches wide
She’s soft green moss on mountainside
She’s camels on the desert sands
She’s turtles where the sea expands
Some call her Earth and Nature, too
On winter days, her colour’s blue
I’m of the few who call her Christ
The giver of the real in life
She holds us in her sacred hands
And as we love, her gifts expand
She is the first and final cause
And when we’re just, she claps applause

The Earth is an experience of what some people still call the Christ. The inner Christ, just like the Earth itself, is a primordial revelation of Divinity.
